An attempt at a comprehensive guide of publicly available chat channels. I will confirm all channels prior to listing, "social" channels must have at least 10 consistent members to be listed, so as to promote congregation in the same channels. Please use the following format to submit a channel for listing.
Name : type : purpose (social only required)
Types: corp public, alliance public, social
Example; Plan B Public: corp public: Plan B recruitment and diplomatic channel.(include affiliated corp/alliance if not in channel name}

Looks like that one hasn't been updated in awhile though.
Ilk use it as the basis for this post and confirm any of the listings that are inactive and update with some of the ones people requested but never got added.

Unfortunately pie ground control and commando squadron are pretty empty ATM, so I won't list them. I'll check periodicly to see if their membership is just low during this time of day (dated screenies will help your cause)
I just don't want to list smaller channels when everyone could congregate on similarly themed/based channels, instead f being spread out.
Plus with low membership their more likely to go inactive.

To save resources, chat channels are set to "Delay" once the channel reaches 50+ members. When in delay, only people who have typed something in the channel will appear. I'd ask if the Channel is set to delay when you check it's activity.
Oh I never new this, thanks atom.
Still if no me has walked recently enough to show up, the channel s semi dead. I mean a change with 50 people but NY two talking... meh sees more likely they only have 2
